Introduction “A short history”

Most people will tell you that 1995 was not the best time for an individual to start their own business, but we at Power Promotions are not most people.

Although Power Promotions is a Sole Proprietor it is energised by a small team of creative, forward thinking and hard-working individuals. In fact we pride ourselves that we constantly strive to develop and distribute equipment and technology to our customers that will greatly enhance their teaching environment.

From our humble beginnings where we started off with on-site resurfacing of old chalkboards with new whiteboard surfaces, to the development and distribution of our patented classroom Teacher Station or full 4k Laser Projectors, we have always tried to offer schools a cost effective solution for an effective and fun teaching experience.

The fact that most of our business is generated from referrals, bears testament that we not only offer great equipment but far more important that we back up our products with the best possible support.

Allow me to share on a personal note:

In 1999 Laerskool Dalview was looking to purchase the latest technology in the form of a multimedia projector. Seeing I grew up in Dalview and completed my primary school education at Laerskool Dalview, I set out to find them the best possible deal.

The school ended up purchasing an Epson EMP 600 projector and the projector was in service to the school for more than 15 years. In fact I think it is still in the safe and being used as a backup projector.

Since then our relationship with Dalview has grown in the last 20 years to supplying and installing projectors into every class with low reflection whiteboards and visualizers Now that I think about it this was probably the type of business we pride ourselves in that led to our mission statement.

Our mission statement:

Our mission is to implement the best and effective classroom technology to empower teachers to teach to the best of their ability.
